Experience the incomparable drama, intensity, emotion and sublimity of Mozart’s Requiem, one of music’s most beloved pieces performed amidst the marvelous acoustics of Mechanics Hall. Benjamin Britten’s Cantata Misericordium, tells the story of the parable of the Good Samaritan, written to mark the centenary of the Red Cross. Estonian composer Arvo Pärt describes his haunting Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten as “light going through a prism”, a mournful and popular tribute honoring the British composer.
