Anagnoson & Kinton Piano Duo

Saturday, April 12, 2008
Tuckerman Hall - 8:00 P. M. - Pre-concert Talk 7:00 P. M.

Overview

Renowned both for their rapport with audiences and their superb musicianship, Anagnoson and Kinton have set the standard for duo-piano artistry. Since 1975, New York pianist James Anagnoson and Toronto pianist Leslie Kinton have given recitals throughout North America, Europe and Asia. They perform frequently on NPR and are a mainstay of CBC arts programming.

Today after 1,000 concerts they describe themselves this way, “We’re like a couple of seven-year-olds exploring new things, and it’s more exhilarating every day.”

We look forward to the return of these two musicians who are so attuned to each other’s playing, their four hands seem to belong to the same person.

“As individuals, they seem to have no technical shortcomings at all; in tandem they are more than twice as good.”

– The Boston Globe

“Anagnoson and Kinton give outstanding two-piano recitals with formidable precision and panache. They are Canada’s best known piano duo.”

– The New York Times
